Hello all! I hope you are well and safe. We've hardly had much activity here, and my personal life has just been too busy. So for now, I'm putting the community on hiatus. I don't know how long it's going to be, but I'm thinking when the new season starts I'll open it back up again.

If someone wants to take over the community from me, I'm willing to do that too. I just don't have the bandwidth lately and it seems like all of you are busy as well.

Thanks to all members and participants for the great activity and stories over the years. I hope we will be back here soon.

Hello all!

Just like last year I wanted to open the community up for recommendations during our holiday break.

Through December 20th through January 11th, I'm asking all of my members to RECOMMEND me your favorite Doctor Who, Sarah Jane and Torchwood stories! It can be something you wrote, something someone else wrote, or something really old that you love, or something that you wrote that has never gotten that much attention but you love it anyway. Just make a post like you normally do to the community and link back to the stories!

The contests will resume on January 11th of 2016. Happy fic reccing! Give us something good to read this cold winter. And enjoy the Doctor Who Christmas special coming up!

As you can see, we don't have another challenge after "Unseen" for I like to take a winter break every year for

who_contest. With the holidays, things seem to get busy for everyone, so I figure it's best for a short hiatus.

Sometimes during the hiatus I do some low-key things like prompts or such to keep the community a little active, so this year I'm going to do something different.

Through December 15th through January 18th, I'm asking all of my members to RECOMMEND me your favorite Doctor Who, Sarah Jane and Torchwood stories! It can be something you wrote, something someone else wrote, or something really old that you love, or something that you wrote that has never gotten that much attention but you love it anyway. Just make a post like you normally do to the community and link back to the stories!

I think since it's a holiday season we can get in the spirit of gift giving. Share your favorites with everyone!

Since we've only got one entry and someone requested an extension, I've decided to extend the Picture one-shot challenge for another week. It's now due next Monday, November 4th 7pm CST.

All challenges after that have been changed according to their new dates.

If you've noticed, I've also added a holiday break. I realize how slow it's getting around here, as it did last year too, around this time, and decided to have a community break for the Christmas and New Year. We'll have two more challenges this year, and then our break, and then our challenges will start up again in mid-January.

Okay, we only got ONE entry for the last challenge "Trapped" so instead of extending the challenge I feel we must move on. I thank

meatball42 for contributing, and I encourage all members to go and read her story and at least leave a comment if you can.

That said, it's a busy season for all of us. With NaNoWriMo and the holidays and for students finals and such coming up, I decided to put the community on a Holiday Hiatus until next year. I'm NOT closing the community. We will come back to our regular schedule and challenges after January 5th, 2013.

In the meantime, I want to encourage SOME activity here, so I'm doing bi-weekly prompts until January 5th. You can fulfill as many as you like within the time frame. You can post more than one entry if the prompt inspires you, and the word count limits are 100 words or more. There will be no voting, only prompts.

The member with the MOST prompts fulfilled will get a special banner from me. Good luck!
